Islamabad, The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has approved the establishment of a facilitation centre to expedite the approval process for building plans. This initiative is aimed at significantly reducing the time frame for endorsing both residential and commercial building plans in Islamabad.
According to Zameen.com, the decision was made during a board meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Anwarul Haq. The new facilitation centre will approve residential building plans for plots up to 60'x90' within 48 hours and commercial building plans for plots up to 500.00 sq-yards with a covered area of less than 10,000 sq-feet within 72 hours, subject to additional fees. This marks a substantial improvement from the existing 21-day timeline. Applicants are encouraged to directly approach the facilitation centre with all necessary documentation for a more efficient three-day approval process. The board plans to extend this facility to larger plots in the next phase. Additional charges for this expedited service have been set, varying based on the size and type of the plot.
