Central Business District to Help Lahore Development Authority Implement Corporate-Style Reforms

Lahore, Imran Ameen, CEO of the Central Business District (CBD), attended a meeting chaired by Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Tahir Farooq to discuss the LDA's restructuring, as reported by a news source. The meeting aimed to improve the authority's operational efficiency and revenue generation through corporate-style reforms.

According to Zameen.Com, the meeting concluded with an agreement that CBD will support the implementation of corporate sector-style reforms within LDA, as directed by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. These reforms are intended to boost revenue, improve efficiency, and attract investment in Lahore, the provincial capital.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq outlined plans for officers and staff to undergo modern refresher training courses to align with current market trends. He also proposed amendments to the LDA Act to make it easier for investors to engage with the LDA and streamline business operations.

The meeting highlighted the need for the LDA to adapt to changing market dynamics. Following the discussions, LDA Director General Tahir Farooq and CEO CBD Imran Ameen visited the One Window Cell to review ongoing reforms and improvements.

These changes are part of a broader effort to modernize the LDA's approach and create a more business-friendly environment, facilitating growth and development in Lahore.
