Muzaffarabad: The Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir announced the appointment of Mr. Ehtisham Malik as the new Divisional Head of Operations, a critical role expected to enhance the bank’s operational performance. Mr. Malik, a foundational member of the institution, brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having been instrumental in the bank's development and technological advancements.
According to Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Malik has played a significant role in introducing and integrating advanced information technologies into the bank’s operations. His efforts have led to the automation of previously manual processes, enhancing operational efficiency even with limited resources. Mr. Malik has been pivotal in expanding the bank’s branch network by 70% across both urban and rural areas, significantly shortening the timeline typically associated with such growth.
His tenure at the bank has seen him lead three key divisions: Special Assets Management, Credit Administration, and Information Technology. Prior to his extensive service at the Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Malik was also part of United Bank Limited (UBL), where he gained substantial industry experience.
The bank credits him with several innovative initiatives, such as the implementation of SMS alerts, the Necta feature, a web portal, and the NADRA biometric feature, which have collectively streamlined customer interactions and security protocols. The bank lauds his appointment as a strategic move to bolster not only the Operations Division but the institution as a whole, aiming to foster stability and growth in the face of evolving banking challenges.
