Emirates Marks 25 Years in Islamabad with Support for Local Charity

Islamabad, Celebrating its 25th anniversary of operations in Islamabad, Emirates Airline has embarked on a charitable initiative by partnering with SOS Children’s Village Islamabad to provide support to the local community's orphaned children and their caretakers. The initiative involved the donation of blankets to the organization, coupled with Emirates' team members engaging in meaningful activities with the children.

According to Emirates, the effort was led by Salem Al Mana, Emirates’ Regional Manager for Pakistan, along with the airline's local sales team, demonstrating the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves. The donation of blankets was complemented by the team's interactive session with the children at SOS Children’s Village Islamabad, where they shared inspirational stories and participated in engaging activities, aiming to uplift the spirits of the children and their caretakers.

Salem Al Mana emphasized the airline's approach to supporting not only through material contributions but also by creating personal connections and positive experiences. “Our team had the privilege of spending time with the children of SOS Children’s Village Islamabad, sharing stories of perseverance, courage, and determination. Emirates is grateful to have been given the opportunity to bring some cheer to the children. It was a humbling experience for all of us,” he remarked.

SOS Children’s Village, a non-profit organization, focuses on providing orphaned and abandoned children with a loving home and a family-like environment, ensuring their well-being and development. The blankets provided by Emirates are intended to offer additional comfort to the children, particularly during the colder months.
