Exchange Rates Show Minor Fluctuations in Recent Trading

Islamabad, The latest currency exchange rates have revealed minor fluctuations over the past two days, As per data released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan. Notably, the US dollar, Euro, and British pound showed slight adjustments in their buying and selling prices in the interbank and open markets.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, on April 22, 2024, the buying and selling rates for the US dollar were recorded at 277.16 and 279.80, respectively. By the following day, these rates adjusted marginally to 277.18 for buying and 279.77 for selling. Similarly, the Euro moved from a buying rate of 293.22 to 293.00, and from a selling rate of 296.03 to 295.72 over the same period. The British pound saw a decrease in both buying and selling prices, moving from 340.90 to 339.76 and 344.17 to 342.94, respectively.

Other currencies, such as the Japanese yen, the UAE dirham, and the Saudi riyal, also experienced slight changes. The Japanese yen’s selling rate edged up from 1.79 to 1.80, while the buying rate remained steady at 1.76. The UAE dirham and Saudi riyal saw minimal adjustments in their trading values.

These shifts in currency values reflect typical market volatility and are closely monitored by businesses and investors who engage in international trade or currency exchange. The interbank rates, specifically, are crucial for these stakeholders as they influence the cost of foreign exchange transactions in the country.
