Exchange Rates Show Minor Fluctuations

Karachi, The latest exchange rate figures released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan indicate minor fluctuations in major currencies over the past two days.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, 2024, the US Dollar, Euro, and British Pound showed slight changes in their buying and selling prices in the interbank market, with the US Dollar purchasing rate settling at 277.00 from 277.03, and the selling rate moving marginally to 279.68 from 279.59.

On April 27, the buying rate for the Euro was recorded at 293.78, with the selling rate at 296.56, which shifted to 294.60 for buying and 297.35 for selling by April 29. Similarly, the British Pound increased from a buying rate of 343.36 to 344.56 and a selling rate from 346.63 to 347.81 in the same period. Other currencies like the Japanese Yen and the UAE Dirham saw minimal changes in their rates, while the Saudi Riyal remained stable at a buying rate of 73.28 on April 27 and slightly decreased to 73.27 by April 29.

This period also marked the introduction of interbank rates for the US Dollar, which were listed at 278.40 for buying and 278.60 for selling as of April 29, indicating a controlled range of trade for major currencies in the Pakistani market.
