Karachi’s Red Line BRT Project Nears Completion, Fueled by Biogas

Karachi, The Sindh government is in the final stages of completing the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, aiming to introduce a more sustainable public transport option that utilizes biogas. This project, noted for being a first of its kind in Pakistan, is part of a broader effort to improve urban mobility in Karachi.

According to Zameen.Com, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon confirmed the progress during a recent site visit. He expressed a strong commitment to overcoming previous challenges associated with the project and emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring the rapid completion of the Red Line. In addition to the Red Line, efforts are also being made to advance the development of the Yellow Line and other transport initiatives within the city.

The Red Line BRT is seen as a pivotal project for Karachi, promising to enhance the city’s transport landscape while also contributing to environmental sustainability through its use of biogas.
