KSE-100 Index Faces High Volatility Amid Market Uncertainty

Karachi: The KSE-100 index experienced significant volatility in its latest trading session, opening on a negative trajectory and closing with a substantial loss of 3,507 points. The index, which peaked at 1,740 points and hit a low of 3,899 points, ended the day at 94,574. Trading volumes saw an 84% increase compared to the previous session.

According to AKD Securities Limited, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator has turned bearish, trading below its signal line and indicating potential further declines. The chart analysis suggests that initial support could be found near the 94,100-point level, with the possibility of further weakening to 93,700 and 93,100 points if this support is breached. Conversely, resistance is anticipated around 95,000 points, with potential targets of 95,600 and 96,500 points. Traders are advised to proceed cautiously and consider employing stop-loss strategies.
