KSE Indices Experience Downward Shift Amid Market Fluctuations.

Karachi: The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) indices closed lower, with the KSE30 and KSE100 indices both experiencing declines. The KSE30 index settled at 28,884.93 points, marking a drop of 132.84 points or 0.46%, while the KSE100 index fell by 423.77 points, closing at 93,224.56 points, a decrease of 0.45%.

According to JS Global, the day's trading saw notable gainers such as AVN, which rose by 7.15% to reach a price of 57.11, BNWM increasing by 7.00% to 41.87, and MARI climbing by 3.82% to 426.12. Other gainers included KEL and GLAXO, with increases of 3.01% and 2.82%, respectively.

On the losing side, MUGHAL suffered the most significant drop with a decrease of 6.83% to 68.70, followed by HGFA and KOSM, which fell by 5.06% and 4.17%, respectively. The market capitalization of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a decline of 0.20%, with a total value of Rs 12,031.44 billion or US$ 43.36 billion.

The PSX saw a total trading volume of 792.90 million shares, amounting to a total value of Rs 30.79 billion or US$ 110.97 million. The day's top volume leaders included PIBTL with 79.86 million shares, KEL with 71.76 million shares, and PRL with 56.36 million shares.

The regional markets also showed mixed results, with China’s SSEA index down by 1.4%, India’s BSESN decreasing by 1.0%, while Indonesia’s JKSE index saw a rise of 0.8%. Other regional markets such as Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines experienced declines, whereas Taiwan's TWII index fell by 2.3%.
