PSE Sees Robust Growth in Turnover and Indexes Over Six Months

Karachi, (PPI Bot): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) has reported a substantial increase in market activity and growth over the last six months. Data indicates a significant rise in turnover of shares and a bullish trend in market indexes.

In June, the PSE's listed capital stood at Rs. 1,627,167.44 million with market capitalization at Rs. 6,369,472.63 million. The turnover of shares was 3,902.82 million with future contracts at 1,565.686 million. The KSE 100 Index was at 41,452.69, while the KSE All Share Index closed at 28,111.03.

The following month, July, saw a slight increase in listed capital to Rs. 1,628,368.12 million and a more robust growth in market capitalization, reaching Rs. 7,231,764.25 million. Turnover more than doubled to 7,984.831 million, and future contracts also saw a significant increase to 2,501.287 million. The KSE 100 Index rose to 48,034.6, and the KSE All Share Index expanded to 32,027.29.

August's figures presented a slight increase in listed capital to Rs. 1,629,437.23 million, with market capitalization at Rs. 6,715,880.49 million. Share turnover and future contracts remained high at 6,814.516 million and 2,511.124 million, respectively. The KSE 100 Index stood at 45,002.42, with the KSE All Share Index at 30,041.97.

September's data revealed a listed capital of Rs. 1,637,300.48 million and market capitalization of Rs. 6,885,570.25 million. There was a decrease in turnover of shares to 3,447.734 million and future contracts to 1,621.924 million. However, the KSE 100 Index continued to rise to 46,232.59, as did the KSE All Share Index to 31,158.71.

In October, the listed capital increased to Rs. 1,653,218.01 million, and market capitalization surged to Rs. 7,551,772.88 million. The turnover of shares spiked to 8,404.818 million, and future contracts to 2,531.777 million. The KSE 100 Index jumped to 51,920.27, while the KSE All Share Index grew to 34,558.22.

November saw the listed capital marginally increase to Rs. 1,656,800.39 million, but market capitalization reached a six-month high at Rs. 8,729,523.26 million. Share turnover reached a peak of 14,056.434 million, with future contracts at 3,686.656 million. The KSE 100 Index soared to 60,531.27, and the KSE All Share Index climbed to 40,324.28.
