Shell Pakistan Rebounds with Strong Q1 Performance After Previous Losses

Karachi, Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) has reported a significant turnaround with a profit after tax of PKR 314 million in the first quarter of 2024, a stark contrast to the loss of PKR 4,762 million in the same period last year. The company’s latest financial results reflect substantial progress across its various business segments.

According to Shell Pakistan Limited, the improvement in financial performance is attributed to robust growth in the Mobility business and strategic expansions in the Lubricants sector. The Mobility business has enhanced its network by adding five new sites and refreshing 13 existing ones, coupled with the introduction of 13 non-fuel retail facilities. The Lubricants business has launched Shell Lubricant Solutions, aimed at providing comprehensive end-to-end services to B2B customers, leveraging technical expertise and collaborative business approaches.

In a move to support community well-being, SPL, in collaboration with the Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust, organized an eye camp for mechanics, offering free eye screening to promote healthy vision among this key group in their lubricants partner community. This initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment to societal roles and operational excellence.

The company remains focused on strengthening its financial position and safety performance while continuing to contribute responsibly to societal needs. As SPL progresses through the fiscal year, it aims to maintain this momentum and uphold its commitments to its stakeholders.
