Sindh Governor Announces New Business Support Initiative for Karachi’s Youth

Karachi, Governor Kamran Tessori of Sindh has launched a new financial aid program under the “Governor Sindh Initiative,” designed to assist unemployed youth in Karachi by providing them with capital to start their own businesses. The initiative offers funds ranging from PKR 100,000 to PKR 10 million to young entrepreneurs with feasible business ideas.

According to Zameen.Com, during a press conference, Governor Tessori committed to backing these youth fully, highlighting contributions from overseas Pakistanis, local business leaders, and certain non-governmental organizations.

Governor Tessori emphasized that the initiative aims to empower educated young people to transition from job seekers to job creators. He detailed a clear and merit-based process for evaluating business proposals, which will be assessed by experts to ensure the efficient and fair allocation of funds.

Further elaborating on the scheme, Governor Tessori spoke about expanding the Governor House's IT program beyond Karachi to other parts of Sindh, with funding already secured to organize IT courses in six districts. He also confirmed the creation of a dedicated fund to support this employment initiative, expressing optimism about receiving continued support from the prime minister.

Governor Tessori reaffirmed his dedication to the youth of Karachi, despite the challenges, and expressed his commitment to enhancing their welfare through such innovative programs.
