UBG Chairman Khalid Tawab Praises Molana Fazal-ur-Rehman’s Role in Constitutional Reforms

Karachi: Khalid Tawab, the Regional Chairman of the United Business Group (UBG), has publicly commended Molana Fazal-ur-Rehman for his crucial involvement in the passage of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, which he believes has significantly strengthened Pakistan’s constitution and democracy. Tawab highlighted Rehman’s efforts in facilitating the amendment’s approval through both the Senate and National Assembly, marking a pivotal moment in Pakistan’s legislative history.

According to United Business Group, Tawab praised Molana Fazal-ur-Rehman, the chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), for his visionary approach in drafting and presenting the constitutional amendments, which were unanimously approved. The amendments aim to enhance social and economic welfare and advocate for the elimination of Riba, reflecting Rehman’s commitment to integrating Islamic values within the nation’s legal framework.

Khalid Tawab also spoke about Rehman’s long-standing dedication to democratic principles and Islamic values, describing him as a steadfast opponent of anti-democratic forces and a proponent of a Pakistan that fully embodies Islamic teachings. Rehman’s efforts have not only advanced Islamic principles but also countered extremist ideologies, contributing to a national atmosphere of tolerance, justice, and equality.
