AI-Powered Legal Platform Launched for Pakistan’s SMEs

Lahore: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) has announced the launch of an AI-powered legal and compliance support platform designed for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Pakistan. This initiative is a collaboration with "PakLawAssist," the country's first AI-based legal automation platform.

According to SMEDA CEO Socrat Aman Rana, the platform aims to enhance the ease of doing business for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in alignment with the Prime Minister's vision and the Ministry of Industries and Production's (MoIP) guidance.

The partnership with "PakLawAssist" is seen as a significant move to provide SMEs with instant, affordable, and reliable legal tools. This development allows businesses to access round-the-clock legal and compliance guidance through an AI chatbot, a first in Pakistan.

Moreover, the platform's dedicated workspace enables SMEs to instantly draft legal documents such as non-disclosure agreements and employment contracts. By leveraging AI tools, the initiative aims to eliminate the barriers associated with manual drafting.

In business circles, the initiative is being praised as a revolutionary step to address a crucial gap in Pakistan's business ecosystem.
