CDA to Establish WASA for Enhanced Water and Sanitation in Islamabad

Islamabad, The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to set up a Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) in Islamabad to improve the city's water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems. This initiative is part of a broader effort to rehabilitate and expand the existing infrastructure, ensuring better services for the residents.

According to Zameen.Com, the new project will involve the construction and upgrading of water treatment plants and the enhancement of drainage facilities across the city. The French development agency, AFD, will provide technical support for the project. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa expressed that the establishment of WASA is a step towards addressing the pressing challenges of the city’s infrastructure and ensuring a sustainable future for Islamabad’s community.
