Easypaisa Forms Strategic Alliances with IGI Life and IGI General to Expand Insurance Offerings

Islamabad, Easypaisa a leading digital financial service in Pakistan, has entered into a partnership with IGI Life and IGI General to offer a broad spectrum of insurance products digitally, aimed at enhancing convenience for millions of users. The collaboration includes innovative health rewards and comprehensive insurance coverages such as car and travel insurance, all accessible through Easypaisa’s digital platform.

According to Easypaisa, the partnership was sealed at a ceremony attended by the senior management of Telenor Microfinance Bank (TMB)/Easypaisa, and representatives from IGI General and IGI Life. The agreement introduces a unique 'Vitality Rewards' program for Easypaisa users, which involves weekly rewards linked to customer activities and health status tracked via the Vitality App on smartwatches. It also includes a natural death cover ranging from PKR 500,000 to PKR 2,000,000. Additionally, in collaboration with IGI General, Easypaisa is set to launch car and travel insurance products that can be purchased with a single tap through its Miniapps platform, offering features like accidental death cover, emergency evacuation, and emergency dental care.

Kashif Ahmed, Acting President and CEO of TMB/Easypaisa, highlighted the strategic significance of these alliances, noting their role in advancing Easypaisa's goal to become a leading digital bank in Pakistan pending regulatory approvals. Ali Nadim, CEO of IGI Life Insurance, and Faisal Khan, CEO of IGI General, both emphasized the importance of digital solutions in improving financial inclusion and simplifying insurance processes for customers.

With over 40 million registered mobile accounts, Easypaisa continues to drive financial inclusion in Pakistan, leveraging its digital platform to meet the diverse financial needs of its users efficiently.
