Exchange Rate Fluctuations Noted in Pakistan’s Currency Market

Karachi: Pakistan's foreign exchange rates saw minor fluctuations over two consecutive days, as per the latest data from market trading. The U.S. dollar, Euro, and British pound, among other currencies, experienced slight shifts in their buying and selling rates.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the U.S. dollar remained stable at a buying rate of 278.50 from July 23 to July 24, while its selling rate decreased slightly from 280.00 to 279.75. The Euro and the British pound also showed minimal changes in their exchange rates, with the Euro buying rate dropping from 300.91 to 300.63 and the GBP slightly decreasing from 357.57 to 357.40 in buying rate.

Other currencies like the Japanese yen and the UAE dirham saw small increases in their selling rates, reflecting subtle volatility in the foreign exchange market. The Saudi Riyal (SR) buying rate increased from 73.75 to 73.90. The interbank rate for the U.S. dollar saw a negligible rise from 278.41 to 278.50.
