Islamabad to Launch Electric Bus Service on Two Major Routes Next Week

Islamabad, The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is poised to introduce electric buses in Islamabad next week, launching the first two routes of the new Islamabad Bus Service Project. This initiative marks a significant step towards sustainable urban transit in the capital city.

According to Zameen.Com, the new service will feature 30 electric buses covering two primary routes. The first route will connect the National University of Sciences and Technology’s Orange Line Depot in G-11 to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital, including 13 stops with buses scheduled every ten minutes. The second route will facilitate travel from PIMS to Bari Imam. Both routes will operate daily from 6 AM to 10 PM.
