PTCL Introduces SHOQ TV Box in Islamabad, Enhancing Pakistan’s Television Experience

Islamabad, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has launched the SHOQ TV Box, a new device powered by Android TV by Google, designed to transform the television viewing experience in Pakistan. The product was unveiled in Islamabad at an event attended by executives from PTCL Group and ZTE.

According to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited, the SHOQ TV Box offers a comprehensive entertainment package with 200 live television channels, including 60 in HD, and 15,000 hours of on-demand content. It features interactive functionalities such as rewind, play, and catch-up TV, along with voice control and personalized content selection, aiming to put viewers in control of their entertainment choices.

The device promises an immersive viewing experience with high-quality visuals and seamless navigation through its user interface. It comes pre-installed with apps like SHOQ, Netflix, and YouTube, and offers access to additional apps through the Google Play Store. Built-in Chromecast allows users to cast content from their mobile devices directly to their TV screens.

Hatem Bamatraf, President and Group CEO of PTCL and Ufone 4G, emphasized the significance of the launch, stating, "With SHOQ TV, we are not just introducing a product; we are ushering in a new era of entertainment empowerment.
