Punjab Launches ‘Dastak’ Program to Boost Youth Employment

Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the registration for the 'Dastak' program in Punjab, aimed at providing employment opportunities for thousands of young individuals across the province. The program, an extension of the 'Maryam Ki Dastak Program', seeks to enhance service accessibility and foster digital innovation among youth.

According to Zameen.Com, The 'Dastak' program is designed to enable individuals to access various services directly from their homes, which not only streamlines operations but also aims to reduce corruption and exploitation. CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the expansion of services from 10 to 65 across all districts of Punjab, marking a significant leap towards digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence to simplify public service delivery. The initiative is part of Punjab's broader strategy to transform service delivery mechanisms and promote economic independence among youth.

Youth interested in becoming 'Dastak' representatives need to meet several criteria, including being at least 18 years old, holding an intermediate degree, possessing a valid CNIC and driving license, and having a personal motorcycle and a mobile phone with internet access. Successful candidates will receive training to ensure they can perform their roles effectively, positioning them as key facilitators in the digital transformation of Punjab's public services.
