Karachi, Engro Corporation announced a substantial increase in revenue and profitability for the first quarter of 2024, reflecting robust sales and operational efficiencies across its diversified business units.

According to Engro Corporation Limited, the company’s revenue from continued operations surged to PKR 104.3 billion in the first quarter, up 45% from PKR 72.1 billion in the same period of 2023. The consolidated profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter also increased to PKR 10.4 billion, compared to PKR 8.8 billion in the previous year, driven by higher fertilizer sales, improved margins, and efficient plant operations. The earnings per share (EPS) stood at 10.66.

The growth in profitability was attributed to higher earnings from dollar-denominated businesses and cost optimization strategies that enhanced overall efficiencies. This performance highlights Engro Corporation’s strong position in the market and its ability to adapt to dynamic economic conditions.
