Islamabad Police Introduces ‘Knock the Door’ Campaign to Register Tenants and Workers for Increased Safety

Islamabad, The Islamabad police have launched a new campaign named "Knock the Door," aimed at registering household workers and tenants to enhance safety and prevent criminal activities within the city. This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen law enforcement and public security measures.

According to Zameen.Com, the campaign was carried out by officers from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) who gathered data from 242 house servants in 520 residences across the areas served by the Khanna and Bani Gala police stations. This registration process is critical for improving safety by identifying individuals who might pose a risk, thereby reducing the incidence of crimes such as thefts committed by those pretending to be ordinary residents.

During the campaign, police teams visited various neighborhoods to collect necessary information and discuss current security challenges with the citizens. They also emphasized the importance of verifying the identity of personnel conducting surveys or collecting data, especially when not in uniform.

The initiative underscores the significance of knowing who resides within the community, especially given the potential threats posed by unregistered tenants and domestic workers involved in criminal acts. The police stressed that proper registration is a key preventive measure against crimes like theft and robbery.
