PSO and Pakistan Railways Launch Upgraded Fuel Management System in Karachi and Lahore

Karachi, In a significant step to enhance Pakistan's transportation infrastructure, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Pakistan Railways (PR) inaugurated two upgraded railways filling and storage facilities in Karachi and Lahore. The event marks a milestone in the ongoing partnership between the two entities, aimed at boosting operational efficiency and safety in fuel management.

According to Pakistan State Oil, the facilities' inauguration is the first phase in the Facilities Modernization and Upgradation (FMS) project. The modernized facilities are equipped with advanced technology such as flowmeters and calibrated storage tanks, which are expected to significantly improve the efficiency and safety of railway fuel management. Senior officials from both PSO and PR, including Mr. Mazhar Ali Shah, Chairman/Secretary of Pakistan Railways, and Syed Taha, Managing Director and CEO of PSO, attended the event.

The upgrades are part of a broader initiative to enhance the logistics and transportation framework essential for Pakistan's economic growth. Both Karachi and Lahore facilities are set to provide reliable and quality services, pivotal for the transportation sector's expansion and efficiency.
