Avanceon Ltd. Forecasts Robust Growth Amidst Revenue Decline

LAHORE: Avanceon Ltd. (AVN), a leading automation solutions provider, held its analyst briefing to discuss the company's financial performance for the calendar year 2024 and its future outlook. The briefing highlighted a 9.1% year-on-year decline in revenue, dropping to PKR 16.2 billion from PKR 17.8 billion in the previous year. Despite the decrease, the company remains optimistic about its growth prospects, backed by a strong order backlog and a strategic expansion plan.

The decline in gross margins from 31.5% to 26.4% was attributed to the absence of a high-margin project from Ashkal Qatar, which contributed significantly to the previous year's profits. This project had boasted margins exceeding 50%, making it a substantial factor in the earlier financial success.

Looking ahead, Avanceon has secured backlog orders worth PKR 21 billion for the coming year and projects its revenue for 2025 to reach PKR 20.8 billion. The company's management has strategically diversified operations across multiple geographic regions and 15 distinct business segments to bolster future growth.

In addition to its diversification efforts, Avanceon is pre-qualified for 13 global projects, collectively valued at approximately USD 180 million. The management has also outlined plans to launch a small IPO in the international market, contingent upon achieving a USD 100 million revenue milestone.

Progress on the Lahore Tech Park is underway, with land procurement completed and construction expected to finish within two years at an estimated cost of PKR 2 billion. The company anticipates benefitting from tax exemptions related to imports, provided under the Special Technology Zones regulations.

Avanceon's management remains focused on leveraging these strategic initiatives to overcome the current financial challenges and drive sustainable growth in the coming years.
