Karachi: Baluchistan Wheels Ltd. (BWHL) reported a 27% increase in revenue for the fiscal year 2026, reaching PkR2.9 billion, driven by substantial growth in its Truck/Bus and Car wheels segments. Despite this revenue surge, the company's profitability saw a slight decline due to a higher effective tax rate.
According to AKD Securities Limited, the company's net profit fell marginally by 1% year-on-year to PkR312.6 million, down from PkR315.6 million in the same period last year. The earnings per share (EPS) decreased from PkR23.7 to PkR23.4. This decline was largely attributed to an increase in the effective tax rate, which rose to 46% compared to 31% in the previous fiscal year.
The increase in revenue was primarily fueled by a 60% year-on-year growth in the Truck/Bus wheels segment and an 11% rise in the Car wheels segment, reflecting rising sales volumes in the broader automotive sector during the fiscal year 2026. The company's performance was discussed during an analyst briefing held to review the fiscal year 2026 results and future outlook.
