Karachi: Bank Alfalah has inaugurated Pakistan's first Digital Islamic Consumer Finance Centre (ICFC) in Naya Nazimabad, Karachi, marking a significant advancement in providing integrated Shariah-compliant financial services. The event featured senior management from the bank, along with notable figures including Saleem Ullah, Deputy Governor of the State Bank, and Arif Habib, Founder of Arif Habib Group.
According to Bank Alfalah, the centre introduces a pioneering banking model by combining digital consumer financing, Islamic banking, and a self-service digital banking lobby within a single facility. This initiative allows customers to select products, consult with qualified advisors, and apply for financing digitally, eliminating paperwork and enabling instant banking solutions.
Visitors to the centre can explore a range of products, including homes, vehicles, solar solutions, and household appliances, before applying for Shariah-compliant financing. Customers can complete applications, receive instant credit assessments, and obtain approvals through a digital credit agent, significantly reducing processing times. Partnerships with property developers, solar providers, automotive companies, and consumer brands allow for product comparisons and expert guidance, enabling customers to complete their digital financing and acquire products in one visit.
Atif Bajwa, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank Alfalah, stated, "This centre represents the future of consumer banking in Pakistan," highlighting the streamlined process for customers to finance essential purchases with ease and access to Shariah-compliant solutions.
The launch also marks a milestone for Bank Alfalah, which now operates over 1,200 branches nationwide. The ICFC is the bank's 451st Islamic Banking branch, enhancing the availability of Shariah-compliant banking services across the country. This expansion builds on the growth achieved by Bank Alfalah Islamic in 2026, with increased financing assets, deposits, and network growth.
The ICFC reflects Bank Alfalah's commitment to reimagining consumer banking through digital technology, partnerships, and Shariah-compliant financing. The model aims to facilitate faster financing, improve convenience, and promote financial inclusion, setting a precedent for future expansions across Pakistan.
