Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Reports Historic Remittance Inflows

Muzaffarabad: The Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has reported a significant increase in remittances, with transactions totaling Rs. 2.41 billion during the first half of 2024. This growth comes through over 22,000 transactions facilitated by major global remittance companies including MoneyGram, Western Union, Ria, IME, and Instant Cash. This achievement was highlighted during a recent business promotion meeting in Muzaffarabad.

According to Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, this record-setting performance reflects the strong trust placed in the bank by its customers worldwide, attributable to the bank’s effective strategies and the diligent efforts of its staff. The increase in remittances has not only marked a historic milestone for the bank but also spurred growth across its other departments. This success comes despite facing ongoing challenges from a "misleading and fabricated propaganda campaign" against the institution.
