Lahore: Bestway Foundation was honored with the Social Responsibility Award for both 2022 and 2023 by the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, recognizing its impactful contributions to healthcare and education. The Foundation's significant investment in local socio-economic development and its role as one of the top Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributors in Pakistan underscore its commitment to community welfare.
According to Bestway Cement Pakistan announcement issued on 15 July 2024, the award ceremony featured participation from numerous prominent local and multinational companies dedicated to enhancing CSR in Pakistan. The Bestway Foundation, known for its extensive philanthropic work, has invested over Rs.1 billion in various social causes over the past three years, focusing particularly on education. This includes the operation of five schools and a girls’ college, providing free, quality education to underprivileged communities.
The foundation also inaugurated two new school buildings in Hattar and Farooqia, with another planned in Mianwali. In addition to educational support, Bestway operates medical centers at its production sites, offering essential healthcare services to thousands of local residents each year.
