KARACHI: The Businessmen Group (BMG) has achieved a decisive win in the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) Executive Committee Elections for the 2026-28 term, claiming victory in both the Corporate and Associate categories with a significant majority.

According to Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BMG candidates garnered a total of 45,106 votes, surpassing the 5,006 votes received by the Businessmen Alliance (BMA), resulting in a remarkable lead of 40,100 votes. This accounted for approximately 90 percent of the total votes, highlighting the business community's significant trust in BMG.

In the Corporate Category, BMG achieved 22,887 votes, significantly outpacing the 2,421 votes of BMA, marking a lead of 20,466 votes. Similarly, in the Associate Category, BMG secured 22,219 votes compared to BMA's 2,585, establishing a lead of 19,634 votes.

This election result underscores the strong mandate BMG has received, as its candidates captured all 15 Executive Committee seats in both the Corporate and Associate categories.

Chairman BMG Zubair Motiwala, along with other BMG leaders, expressed gratitude to the business community for their overwhelming support. Motiwala emphasized BMG's commitment to serving Karachi with renewed dedication, focusing on the city's economic development.

He acknowledged the support from prominent businessmen and industrialists, and expressed thanks to BMG's supporters and the business community for their continued trust. Motiwala reiterated BMG's commitment to contributing to the betterment of Karachi and Pakistan's economy.
