Islamabad: Careem has launched a new feature within its app in Pakistan that allows customers to schedule their rides in advance. The ‘Later Booking’ option enables users to arrange transportation at least two hours before their intended departure, providing a reliable solution for various transportation needs including academic, professional, and event-related travel.

According to Careem, “The feature targets a wide range of users by facilitating dependable transport options for students, office workers, and airport travelers among others. Users can select their desired ride type and set a time via the app’s ‘NOW’ dropdown menu. The feature incorporates multiple checks to ensure punctuality, such as confirmation from the assigned driver, known as the Captain, and a 15-minute waiting window upon the Captain’s arrival.”

The system also highlights the provision of high-quality vehicles and experienced Captains, ensuring a smooth journey for all users. Furthermore, the introduction of ‘Later Booking’ complements existing services such as the ‘Premium 5 and 10’, which offer extended ride durations for special occasions, simplifying long-duration travel needs.
