CBD Punjab Accelerates Walton Road and Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover Upgrade

Lahore: The Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) is pushing for rapid completion of the Walton Road and Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover upgrade projects to improve infrastructure and traffic flow in the area.

According to Zameen.Com, CBD Punjab's Chief Executive Officer, Imran Amin, following directives from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has increased the workforce and machinery to ensure the project meets its deadlines. During a detailed review meeting, Amin highlighted the critical nature of the Walton Road Upgradation Project and the Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover. He later inspected the construction sites, commending the team for their efforts to prevent water accumulation during the recent monsoon season, demonstrating the authority's dedication to excellence and community welfare.

The Walton Road Upgradation Project is set to redefine urban development standards, aiming to foster sustainable growth and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Lahore. The project includes significant infrastructure improvements such as the completion of the main trunk sewer and the remodeling of the ADA Nullah, which is nearing connection to a newly constructed nullah. The sub-base work on Walton Road has been completed, with the next phase of water-bound layer construction underway.

The progress on the Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover was a focal point of the meeting, with the project now 85% complete and shuttering removal planned soon. This development is vital for easing traffic congestion and enhancing connectivity within the city.
