CDA Launches Technology and Digitalisation Wing to Modernize Operations

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has officially inaugurated its new Technology and Digitalisation Wing, marking a significant step towards modernizing its operations and transitioning towards a more efficient, transparent corporate governance model. This initiative, led by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, is part of a broader effort to integrate advanced technologies and digital solutions into the agency’s service delivery frameworks.

According to Zameen.Com, Chairman Randhawa highlighted the launch as a critical move towards enhancing the CDA’s operational capabilities through technology. He emphasized that the adoption of modern technology and corporate practices is essential for revolutionizing public service delivery, improving performance, and fostering transparency within the CDA’s operations.

The newly operational wing is equipped with the latest in hardware and software technologies aimed at boosting efficiency and promoting a culture of openness within the organization. This includes the establishment of a corporate-style work environment characterized by open desks and an open-door policy, which is intended to encourage collaboration and increase transparency across the board.

A central feature of the new wing is the implementation of an advanced e-filing system that transitions the CDA from a traditional paper-based filing system to a fully digital, paperless environment. This digital shift is expected to significantly reduce the reliance on physical documents, thereby cutting operational costs and improving the accessibility and management of documents.

This transformation is part of a larger vision to create a ‘Digital Islamabad’, with the CDA at the forefront of adopting innovative solutions to enhance its service offerings. The technological upgrades initially applied to the Technology and Digitalisation Wing are planned to be extended to other departments within the CDA in the near future.

The launch of this wing represents the CDA’s commitment to modernizing its services and paving the way for a more efficient, transparent, and digitally connected capital city.
