CDC Expands RAAST Network with KTrade Securities Onboarding

Karachi: The Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDC) has announced the integration of KTrade Securities Limited into its RAAST Aggregator Platform, broadening the scope of instant digital fund transfers for retail investors. The agreement was officially signed at a ceremony held at CDC House on September 8, 2025, with CDC CEO Badiuddin Akber and KTrade Securities CEO Mahmood Ali Shah Bukhari in attendance.

RAAST, the instant payment system initiated by the State Bank of Pakistan, has transformed financial inclusion by integrating with the capital market through CDC's Aggregator. This integration assigns each investor sub-account a unique RAAST Investment ID, facilitating direct and rapid fund settlement from bank accounts to brokerage accounts.

Following the onboarding of KTrade Securities, a significant number of investors are set to benefit from this service. The seamless transfer capability enhances market accessibility and investor confidence, allowing for quicker response to market opportunities.

The expansion reflects the growing impact of RAAST on Pakistan's financial landscape, encouraging digital market participation and reducing dependency on traditional cash and manual transactions.

CDC's efforts to support the RAAST framework are complemented by other initiatives like Asaan Connect and Emlaak Financials, further solidifying its pivotal role in advancing Pakistan's financial system toward greater inclusivity and technological advancement.
