Faisalabad, October 10, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Engr. Bashir Ahmed directed the Grid Station Operation (GSO) and Grid Station Construction (GSC) Directorates to complete maintenance and installations work at grid stations across the region as soon as possible he was addressing the officers of the GSE and GSO Directorates held at the FESCO headquarters here today. He further directed to wash the disk insulator to avoid tripping of electric lines due to smog and fog during upcoming season.
He said that the electrical system will be further strengthened through the annual maintenance of electrical lines, and both GSO and GSC directorates should complete this target with mutual consultation and cooperation and there should be no compromise on quality. CEO Engineer Bashir Ahmed said that the distribution system should be strengthened by removing the obstacles before the coming summer, for which the FESCO staff is fully committed and working to achieve these goals.
He also directed to speed up procurement of equipment, tendering and civil works for maintenance of grid stations because the grid system is the backbone of FESCO’s distribution and transmission system. He further said that the up-gradation of grid stations, construction of new grids and repair of transmission lines are going on rapidly while old batteries, control panel and other maintenance works are also being addressed on priority basis.
Washing of disk insulators should be done to save them from smog and fog and to ensure uninterrupted power supply from grids during the coming days. GSO directorate to complete the maintenance schedule of all the equipment installed at the grid stations in the month of October to increase the efficiency of the equipment and provide uninterrupted flow of electricity with full voltage to the consumers, he added.
