Islamabad: The China State Construction Engineering Company (CSCEC) has announced plans to invest in five strategic development projects in Islamabad, marking a significant expansion of Chinese involvement in Pakistan’s infrastructure sector. The initiative includes major projects like the Jinnah Medical Complex and a Solid Waste Management Plant, as well as the construction of two underpasses and six interchanges aimed at improving the capital’s urban landscape.

According to Zameen.Com, during a visit to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters, a delegation from CSCEC met with CDA officials to explore potential investment opportunities. Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa provided insights into more than ten significant development projects currently under consideration, with the Chinese firm showing a keen interest in five of these projects. The discussions focused on the feasibility and scope of these initiatives.

CSCEC plans to send a team of technical experts to Islamabad for an in-depth review of these projects, which will precede their final investment decisions. Randhawa expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting CSCEC’s crucial role in Pakistan’s ongoing infrastructure development. He assured that all projects would be completed on time and with full transparency, highlighting the innovative contributions expected from the Chinese partnership.
