Coca-Cola Içecek Commits to Fund Restoring River Ravi Project

Lahore: In a significant move towards water sustainability, Coca-Cola Içecek (CCI) Pakistan has announced its latest funding initiative for the Restoring River Ravi Project. This step is a part of the company's broader sustainability commitment to address water replenishment in the Ravi Basin, focusing on community-driven efforts in Lahore and Faisalabad.

The announcement was made during a launch event attended by representatives from CCI Pakistan, The Coca-Cola Company, and WWF Pakistan, the project's implementing partner. The event emphasized CCI's water stewardship strategy, highlighting initiatives such as rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge wells, floating wetland systems, and public awareness campaigns like 'Fix the Leak'.

Sunay Sanli, General Manager of CCI Pakistan, expressed pride in partnering with WWF and local institutions to bring this vision to life. He stated the company's goal of restoring water sources and strengthening its commitment to local communities. Sanli, with his international experience and Turkish origins, brings a global sustainability perspective to CCI's efforts.

Coca-Cola Içecek operates as a part of Türkiye's Anadolu Group, a major conglomerate with 33 bottling plants and three fruit processing plants across 12 countries, including Pakistan. The company aims to deliver on its vision of a water-secure and sustainable future, working closely with both public and private sectors.
