Coldplay and FC Barcelona Unite in Spotify Partnership, Featuring Band on Club Jerseys

Barcelona: In a groundbreaking collaboration between Spotify and FC Barcelona, the iconic jersey of the football club will now feature the logo of the renowned band Coldplay. This partnership celebrates the band’s recent achievements on Spotify, including a record-breaking number of songs reaching over a billion streams each, and coincides with the release of their 10th album, ‘Moon Music,’ which debuted at number one on Spotify’s weekly global charts.

According to Spotify, the decision to feature Coldplay on the FC Barcelona jerseys is a tribute to their global influence and the deep connection they share with the city and the club. The collaboration marks a significant moment as it brings together influential icons from music and sports to celebrate unity and shared passions. Coldplay’s track “Viva la Vida,” which became an unofficial anthem for Barça during their successful 2008-2009 season, underscores the synergy between the band and the club. The logo on the jersey is inspired by a fan-designed emblem from Coldplay’s ‘Moon Music’ album.

The special edition jersey will make its debut during the highly anticipated El Clásico match against Real Madrid on October 26th. Additionally, the FC Barcelona Femení team will sport the jersey in their Liga F match against Eibar on November 2nd.

Spotify will also enhance this unique partnership by releasing a Barça Matchday playlist curated by Coldplay, aimed at energizing players and fans ahead of these crucial matches.
