Currency Exchange Rates Experience Minor Fluctuations Over Five Days

Islamabad, The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan reported minor changes in currency exchange rates over the past five days. The US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen, UAE Dirham, and Saudi Riyal all saw slight adjustments in their buying and selling prices in the interbank market.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, On 15 June 2024, The buying rate for the US Dollar was 277.58 and the selling rate was 280.20. By 20 June, these rates had changed to 277.61 and 280.32, respectively. Similar trends were noted in the Euro, which started at 293.26 buying rate and increased to 294.65, and the British Pound, which escalated from 347.86 to 348.89 in the buying rate.

These subtle shifts continued across other major currencies, with the Japanese Yen's buying rate marginally decreasing from 1.72 to 1.71, while the UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased slightly in both buying and selling rates. Notably, the Interbank rates, which were not reported on 15 June, were listed as 278.60 for buying and 278.80 for selling on 20 June.

The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan did not comment on the factors contributing to these rate adjustments, which remain consistent with typical market fluctuations observed in similar periods.
