Currency Exchange Rates Experience Minor Fluctuations

Karachi: The latest data on currency exchange rates reveals slight changes in the buying and selling prices of major currencies, with minimal fluctuations occurring over a two-day period.

According to a statement by Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates for the US Dollar on January 20 were 279.37 and 281.17, respectively. These figures showed a minor shift to 279.33 and 281.24 by January 21.

The Euro saw a slight increase in its rates, with buying and selling prices moving from 287.20 and 289.95 on January 20 to 288.95 and 292.02 on January 21.

The British Pound Sterling's rates also experienced minor adjustments, rising from 340.75 and 344.20 to 342.12 and 345.87 over the same period.

In terms of the Japanese Yen, the buying and selling prices saw a negligible change, moving from 1.76 and 1.81 to 1.77 and 1.82.

The UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal remained relatively stable, with the Dirham's rates marginally adjusting from 75.98 and 76.55 to 75.97 and 76.55, and the Riyal holding steady at 74.25 and 74.80.

Interbank rates also saw a slight change, with the US Dollar moving from 278.65 and 278.85 to 278.82 and 279.02.
