Currency Exchange Rates Fluctuate in Pakistan

KARACHI: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan has reported fluctuations in the currency exchange rates for several major currencies, reflecting ongoing volatility in the foreign exchange market. The rates for the U.S. Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Japanese Yen, UAE Dirham, and Saudi Riyal have shown varied levels of increase and decrease in their buying and selling rates.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the buying rate for the U.S. Dollar stood at 278.79, while the selling rate was slightly higher at 279.54. The Euro was recorded with a buying rate of 319.73 and a selling rate of 323.14. Meanwhile, the British Pound was bought at 369.23 and sold at 373.13. The Japanese Yen's buying and selling rates were at 1.71 and 1.77, respectively.

The UAE Dirham saw a buying rate of 75.99 and a selling rate of 76.60, and the Saudi Riyal's buying rate was recorded at 74.34, with a selling rate of 74.88. These figures highlight the dynamic nature of currency values in Pakistan's interbank market, impacting importers, exporters, and the general public relying on foreign exchanges for various transactions.
