Currency Exchange Rates in Pakistan Show Stability Amid Market Fluctuations

Karachi: Currency exchange rates in Pakistan exhibited stability on Tuesday, with minor fluctuations observed across various currencies in the interbank market. The rates for major currencies, including the U.S. dollar, euro, British pound, Japanese yen, UAE dirham, and Saudi riyal, saw slight changes.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the U.S. dollar was traded at 278.76 for buying and 279.73 for selling. The euro was exchanged at 326.66 and 329.77 for buying and selling, respectively. The British pound stood at 371.33 for buying and 374.73 for selling. Meanwhile, the Japanese yen was recorded at 1.75 for buying and 1.81 for selling.

The UAE dirham and Saudi riyal also showed minor variations, with the dirham trading at 76.24 for buying and 76.87 for selling, while the riyal was exchanged at 74.53 and 75.09 for buying and selling, respectively. The interbank market remained stable despite ongoing economic challenges, providing a measure of predictability for traders and businesses engaging in foreign exchange transactions.
