Currency Exchange Rates Show Marginal Changes in Key Currencies

Karachi: New exchange rates released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan indicate slight fluctuations in the buying and selling prices of major currencies as of January 20, 2025, compared to two days earlier.

According to a statement by Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the US dollar saw a minimal increase in its buying price from 279.22 to 279.37 and in its selling price from 281.11 to 281.17. The euro's buying price also rose from 286.32 to 287.20, while its selling price increased from 289.35 to 289.95.

Similarly, the British pound's buying price went up from 339.42 to 340.75, and its selling price climbed from 342.96 to 344.20. The Japanese yen maintained its buying rate at 1.76, with the selling rate unchanged at 1.81.

The United Arab Emirates dirham and the Saudi riyal both showed slight adjustments. The dirham's buying price remained steady at 75.98, with a small increase in the selling price from 76.52 to 76.55. The riyal’s buying price held at 74.25, while the selling price saw a marginal rise from 74.75 to 74.80.

In the interbank market, the US dollar's buying and selling prices were recorded at 278.65 and 278.85, respectively.
