Karachi: The latest currency exchange rates indicate slight changes in the buying and selling prices of several major currencies, with the US dollar, euro, and British pound experiencing minor fluctuations, as reported on January 13, 2025.
According to a statement by Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates for the US dollar were recorded at 278.78 and 280.48 respectively. This marks a slight increase from January 11, when the rates were 278.68 for buying and 280.40 for selling.
The euro saw a slight decrease, with the buying rate at 284.28 and the selling rate at 287.23 on January 13. This compares with the previous rates of 285.46 for buying and 289.19 for selling.
The British pound's buying and selling rates also decreased, recorded at 338.76 and 342.53 respectively, down from January 11 figures of 340.84 for buying and 344.59 for selling.
Meanwhile, the Japanese yen, United Arab Emirates dirham, and Saudi riyal showed minor changes in their exchange rates. The yen’s buying and selling rates were 1.75 and 1.80, while the dirham recorded 75.87 for buying and 76.36 for selling. The riyal's buying rate was 74.16, with a selling rate of 74.62.
The interbank rates for the US dollar were noted to be between 278.68 and 278.88 on January 13.
