Currency Exchange Rates Show Minor Fluctuations Across Markets

Karachi: The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan reported minor fluctuations in currency exchange rates over the past two days, reflecting slight changes in the buying and selling prices of major currencies.

According to a statement by Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the U.S. dollar showed a decrease in buying price from 279.37 to 279.32, while the selling price increased from 280.94 to 280.99 between January 16 and January 17, 2025. The Euro saw a reduction in its buying price from 287.94 to 287.17, with its selling price slightly increasing from 289.84 to 289.86.

The British pound registered a small decrease in both buying and selling prices, from 341.08 and 344.61 to 341.04 and 344.52, respectively. The Japanese yen remained stable, with no change in its buying and selling prices, while the United Arab Emirates dirham and Saudi riyal saw marginal decreases in their buying prices.

Interbank rates also saw a minor decrease, with the buying price falling from 278.77 to 278.71 and the selling price from 278.97 to 278.91. These fluctuations, although minor, reflect ongoing trends in currency exchange markets.
