Karachi: The latest currency exchange rates released by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan indicate minor fluctuations across major currencies over the past two days. The data shows changes in the buying and selling rates for USD, EURO, GBP, JPY, AED, and SR, with slight variations noted in the interbank rates as well.
According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, on October 7, 2024, the USD was traded at 278.30 buying and 279.69 selling, while on the following day, it slightly decreased to 278.22 buying and 279.66 selling. The EURO saw a slight increase from 302.67 buying and 305.53 selling on October 7, to 303.30 buying and 306.01 selling on October 8. The GBP rates were 361.32 buying and 364.76 selling on the first day, inching up to 361.83 buying and 365.25 selling the next.
Other currencies such as the Japanese Yen (JPY), United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED), and Saudi Riyal (SR) also showed modest changes. The JPY increased from 1.84 buying and 1.89 selling to 1.85 buying and 1.90 selling. The rates for AED and SR remained relatively stable with only slight adjustments noted.
The interbank rate for the USD remained fairly steady at 277.64 buying and 277.84 selling on October 7, and 277.67 buying and 277.87 selling on October 8, reflecting minimal movement in the market.
