Karachi: D.G Khan Cement Ltd (DGKC) and Lucky Cement Ltd (LUCK) are projected to report significant growth in earnings for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027, according to a recent analysis.
According to JS Global, DGKC's standalone earnings per share (EPS) are expected to reach Rs7.5, marking a 51% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth is attributed to a 13% rise in total dispatches, improved margins from higher domestic retentions, and increased other income from dividends and cash balances. Quarter-on-quarter profitability is anticipated to grow by 11%, driven by a substantial 28% increase in dispatches.
LUCK's standalone EPS is projected to be Rs10.25, reflecting a 3% year-over-year growth due to a 4% increase in total dispatches. The company's quarter-on-quarter standalone earnings are expected to climb by 52%, primarily due to higher subsidiary dividends. However, on a consolidated basis, LUCK's earnings are predicted to remain steady year-over-year at Rs15.2 per share, while experiencing a 12% quarterly decline due to weaker subsidiary performance.
