CHICAGO: Detection Technology, a leader in X-ray detector solutions, has introduced a new portfolio of flat panel X-ray detectors at the RSNA 2024 exhibition, aimed at advancing medical imaging. The lineup includes 20 solutions designed to offer high frame rates and quality images at low doses, tailored for a variety of medical applications such as image-guided surgery, wireless radiography, fluoroscopy, oncology, and dental imaging.
According to Detection Technology, the portfolio features versatile surgical imaging solutions with both amorphous silicon (a-Si) and indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) technology-based detectors. Notable models include the X-Panel 2121a FDM with a 200 µm pixel size and the X-Panel 2323z FDM featuring a 148 µm pixel, both optimized for image intensifier replacement.
The company's offerings for fluoroscopy include models like the X-Panel 4343a FRM and the X-Panel 4343z FDM, which operate at 40 frames per second. The portfolio extends to detectors for dental imaging, oncology, and portable digital radiography, utilizing both a-Si and IGZO technologies.
Beyond flat panel detectors, Detection Technology is highlighting its CT detector solutions, such as the X-ACE 16 HD, X-ACE 32, and the X-Tile, which offer lower radiation doses and faster scans. These solutions are designed for quicker market entry and cost savings, providing a comprehensive, reliable option for medical imaging.
Detection Technology is also exploring photon-counting CT (PCCT) detectors, which promise enhanced imaging accuracy and detail, representing a significant advancement in the field. The company aims to lead in this and other next-generation imaging technologies, enhancing clinician insights and patient care.
