Dollar, Euro, and Pound Rates Show Slight Fluctuations Across Markets

Karachi: Currency rates for the U.S. dollar, euro, and British pound saw minor fluctuations over a two-day period, reflecting changes in buying and selling rates across the interbank and open markets. The data indicates marginal shifts in foreign currency values, which are closely watched by importers, exporters, and financial institutions in Pakistan.

According to Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, on October 10, 2024, the U.S. dollar was being bought at Rs278.10 and sold at Rs279.59 in the open market. The euro stood at Rs302.28 for buying and Rs305.10 for selling, while the British pound was purchased at Rs361.45 and sold at Rs364.93. On the same day, the interbank rates for the dollar were Rs277.72 for buying and Rs277.92 for selling.

By October 11, 2024, the U.S. dollar showed a minor change, being bought at Rs278.15 and sold at Rs279.59 in the open market. The euro saw a slight decrease, with rates shifting to Rs301.83 for buying and Rs304.67 for selling. The British pound followed a similar pattern, with its buying rate at Rs360.73 and selling rate at Rs364.16. The interbank dollar rates also showed a small drop, being Rs277.64 for buying and Rs277.84 for selling.
