KARACHI: English Biscuit Manufacturers (EBM), a prominent FMCG company in Pakistan, has been acknowledged as one of the Top 5 companies at the 4th Annual Employer of Choice Gender Diversity Awards 2025, reflecting its commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.

EBM secured the 5th position in the awards, which are jointly organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Pakistan Business Council (PBC). These awards honor companies that implement strong policies promoting diversity in their corporate culture.

"This recognition highlights our commitment to creating a workplace that supports our people and enables them to thrive," said Shahzain Munir, Executive Director at EBM. Currently, women hold one-third of leadership roles at EBM, including the CEO position, illustrating the company's dedication to gender equity and professional growth.

Dr. Zeelaf Munir, Chairperson of the Pakistan Business Council, noted the significance of this acknowledgment, stating that while it indicates progress, more work remains as 63% of private companies in Pakistan still have fewer than 5% women in senior leadership roles.
