Emirates Sponsors Karachi Golf Sisters for U.S. College Education


Karachi: Emirates airline is supporting the educational and athletic pursuits of Syed Daniah and Syed Abiha, two young golf talents from Karachi, by sponsoring their travel to the United States where they will attend Blinn College-Brenham Campus in Texas. This initiative highlights Emirates’ commitment to fostering young sports talents and supporting community development through educational opportunities.



According to Emirates, the sponsorship covers the flight expenses from Karachi to Houston, facilitating the sisters’ transition to collegiate golf in the U.S. while continuing their higher education. Mohammed Alhashmi, Emirates’ Vice President for Pakistan, commended the sisters for their achievements in golf, noting their significant contributions to the Pakistan National Team and their recognition in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.



The sisters, Syed Daniah and Syed Abiha, have participated in international tournaments across various countries including Scotland, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. They have been recognized not only for their golfing prowess but also for their leadership qualities, earning them full scholarships for their education and competitive play in the United States.



Emirates, known for its extensive global network and community support initiatives, operates 53 weekly flights from Pakistan to Dubai, emphasizing its role in connecting global talents with opportunities abroad. The airline continues to support various cultural and sports activities worldwide, aligning with its mission to bring communities together and support the holistic development of young individuals.
